Movement Is A Fundamental Aspect Of Life
Do you ever think to yourself… what if I did that today instead of….It seems that we don’t have enough hours, minutes & seconds to be able to achieve some of life’s daily tasks. But really, it comes down to priorities, values and most importantly our general health.
When it comes to general health or mental health it’s so very important we keep our bodies moving. Why? You wouldn’t keep a dog in a cage, it wouldn’t stop barking and slowly feel neglected and lonely. What if we did that as humans, imagine being stuck in the same place, you’d be bored too.
Sometimes we take for granted how much our bodies can do & achieve in a single day, a month or even years on end. It’s true that starting our day right can be as simple as going for a walk in the morning, having a nutritious breakfast or smashing out a great workout.
Do you know what is the strongest muscle we can train..? The MIND !
People who exercise regularly tend to be more energetic throughout the day, sleep better at night, have sharper focus, relieve tension and stress, boost physical energy, and enhance well-being through the release of endorphins. It’s also a powerful medicine for many common mental health challenges that you’ve probably heard of; Anxiety, Depression, Stress, ADHD, PTSD. Movement is more than just ‘exercise’ and does not necessarily require effort, though it does require action. Movement affects everything, from circulation to digestion to metabolism to immunity. With movement, our bodies regulate hormone activity, detoxify and respire.
Not only can moving more help us achieve more, it’s fundamental. We may think we understand what our body is capable of, until we introduce new habits, new movements and new routines. Like what? Losing massive amounts of excess weight, dropping body fat for a photoshoot or a competition, breaking individual records or even dedicating a whole season of sport to win a title or championship. It’s in our nature to move and to challenge ourselves.
6 months of hard work and focus can put you 5 years ahead in life.
Never underestimate the power of consistency and desire.
We can all agree that moving more can do lots more than you think. It doesn’t matter what age you are, what you do, our biggest gift is the joy of movement and the benefits it can do with achieving some of the biggest & smallest things in life.
